Online Chess Coach job at Silver Knights Chess Academy. Fairfax, VA. Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking skilled part-time Online Chess Coaches to teach chess to kids through our online platform. Do you enjoy working with children? Do you want to earn extra money teaching chess? Are you looking to work from home? As a remote coach you will work 5-25 hours/week . You will earn a competitive wage of $17 - $27/hour , depending on chess skill and teaching experience. Higher rates are possible for coaches with high ratings or who bring some students into our program.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ONLINE CHESS COACH

As a Remote Coach, you interact with students, facilitate a good learning experience for each child, and promote a love for the game! Your online classes will have up to 8 students at a time. Student ages range from 5-14. Each class is a mixture of lesson time and game time, and we'll train you on the technology, so you can focus on using your skills to help kids! There are also occasional opportunities to do more - for example, some coaches help us out by writing lessons and curriculum.

REMOTE / ONLINE CHESS COACH QUALIFICATIONS

Equipment, including video capability, and consistent access to a fast, reliable internet connection A quiet and appropriate environment to teach from Decent chess skill and experience (do not need to be a grandmaster-level player) Ability to be a dynamic and exciting teacher in an online format Do you love chess? Are you friendly and patient with kids? Are you organized and detail-oriented? Do you manage your time well? Can you work well independently? Are you self-motivated and optimistic? SCHEDULE

During the school year, you have the ability to teach classes during 3:30pm - 9pm eastern time on weekdays. There are also possible hours on Saturday mornings or at other times . During the summer (or other breaks from school), there is more work available teaching virtual summer camp programs from approximately 10:30 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday eastern time in addition to the regular afternoon/evening hours.
