Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery Drivers to work in our distribution warehouse in Houston, TX. Compensation - Average annual salary $85,000-$95,000 per year which includes: Hourly wage of $28.00 per hour. Overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Typical work week is 45-55 hours per week. Safety shoes required; $250 vouchers provided per year. Weekly paychecks. Benefits - Eligible 1 st of the month following 60 day probation period Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Life PTO (Personal and Vacation Days) Paid Holidays Career advancement opportunities Work Schedule Sunday-Friday, off Saturday and one other night during the week. Start times vary, typically between 7pm-10pm; work until work is completed, usually 10-12 hours per day. Make 3-7 stops per day. 1-2 layovers per week is typical. Hotel expense and $150 per diem paid by company. Must be flexible with work schedule, based on business needs. Responsibilities Fingerprint 400-900 cases per day, highly physical, touch freight. Some deliveries require going up and down stairs. Work in refrigerated environments inside and outdoor elements, year-round. Secure loads using load straps before and after every stop. Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart. Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to Chipotle restaurants. Drive CDL A day cabs with 36'- 42' pup trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations. Secure pallets using straps. Strap and unstrap at each delivery. Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance. Use of keys, alarm codes, tablets, etc. for overnight deliveries. Provide excellent customer service. Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers. Requirements New CDL graduates encourage to apply! No CDL experience necessary. Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License from state of Texas. No manual restrictions. Prior local route delivery experience highly preferred. Local, multiple-stop deliveries using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack. Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen. Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but will train. Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses. Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors. Legally eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English. Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical. Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance.
