Clarity Partners is seeking a Front-End Web Developer local to Chicago, IL to join the team, with a primary focus on WordPress development and a secondary focus on Drupal theming. This candidate will be responsible for developing reusable, scalable and maintainable website solutions and delivering best in class websites and mobile apps. You will be providing day-to-day support for the CMS platform, as well as testing the quality and security of your code. Demonstrable experience with foundational responsive frameworks is important. The Front-End Web Developer should have exceptional programming skills, problem solving abilities, and an eye for detail. This position will report in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Design/code WordPress or Drupal based applications following specifications using the appropriate tools.
  • Explore new software development technologies and techniques.
  • Perform unit and regression testing of own development work.
  • Perform maintenance programming for existing implementations.
  • Document code and report on project deliverables. 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Themer/ front end development experience.
  • Ability to coordinate with 3-5 other development team members.
  • Ability to assist in gathering project requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and client-facing
  • PHP experience required.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript/AJAX/jQuery.
  • Experience with performance optimization of WordPress and MySQL systems. Drupal experience is preferred.
  • Experience with source control, Git preferred.
  • Experience using Drush is a plus.
  • Acquia experience is a plus.
  • React experience is a plus.
  • Prior agency experience a plus.

Clarity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Front-End Web Developer role, the base salary pay range is $85,000 - $105,000. The range represents a good faith estimate that Clarity reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of posting. Compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
