About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President to join its Anti-Financial Crime Compliance team as a Global Sanctions Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the global sanctions compliance program, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the Global Anti-Financial Crimes Compliance Officer, engaging in industry advocacy on sanctions topics, and managing or assisting with ad hoc projects. The Vice President will also be expected to build and maintain strong internal relationships, interact with colleagues at all levels, and support the implementation of new AML rules, particularly in relation to sanctions compliance. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 5 years' of experience in economic sanctions at a large and diverse financial institution, federal regulator, or global law firm. The role requires a candidate with a strong sense of integrity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to execute global projects in a focused and tactical manner. A legal degree is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at navigating a dynamic environment and engaging effectively with colleagues. Responsibilities also include overseeing service providers, responding to escalations, and fostering strong internal partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of thriving in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment, and will be expected to align with the company's values and ethical principles.
