Job Title: Automotive/Motorsport Senior Buyer The DRVNAutomotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive/Motorsport Senior Buyer with a deep understanding of the industry to join our procurement team. The Senior Buyer will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply chain, exclusively for the iconic racing team – Alan Mann Racing. Alan Mann Racing (AMR) is an integral part of the DRVN Automotive Group and specializes in authentic, historic continuation builds of some of Ford Motor Company's most significant race icons, starting with the 1968 Championship-winning Alan Mann Racing Mk1 Escort, followed by other legendary vehicles from AMR and Ford’s storied racing history. This is a unique role and opportunity, requiring a dedicated individual with a passion for motorsport, exceptional procurement, and program management skills capable of managing all procurement activities necessary to deliver these remarkable products. The role will be co-located, with part of the week onsite at the DRVN Advanced Engineering HQ in Coventry and part at Alan Mann Racing in Surrey. Travel to suppliers will also be expected, so proximity to Oxford/Bucks area is preferred for convenient travel between Coventry and Woking. Experience as a Senior Buyer within automotive and ideally motorsport environments is essential, with a proven ability to work at pace, with accuracy, and to high standards. You will possess exceptional commercial acumen, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Purchase goods, materials, and components in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets for Road and Race cars. Manage supplier relationships effectively. Support the implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). Negotiate and implement Service Level Agreements with key suppliers. Initiate improvements in supplier relationships and identify best value for money practices, VAVE projects. Develop current and future strategies with key stakeholders to optimize costs. Handle any other ad hoc purchasing and supply chain requests. Procurement experience within automotive and motorsport sectors. Commercial awareness of the global market and ability to follow market trends. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Decisive, proactive, with a positive attitude. IT literate – Word, Excel, PowerPoint (preferably Office 365). Experience with MRP/ERP systems. Clean driving license and willingness to travel.
