Job Description

Location: Sonoma, Napa and Marin Counties

The Sales Arborist is a position responsible for providing professional arborist services to both commercial and residential customers. The role involves learning to diagnose tree and plant issues, providing estimates for proposed services managed in a CRM. The Sales Arborist will receive on-the-job training and must obtain the ISA Certified Arborist. Exceptional customer service and management skills are key priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Learn to identify various plant species and their common health issues.
• Assist in diagnosing plant health problems such as diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Provide treatment plans for various insects and diseases
• Provide General Tree Work estimates
• Keep tree preservation your priority when advising customers a proposed plan of action
• Look to prospect new clients/generate leads/cold calls
• Attend a minimum of 2 networking events per month

Required Qualifications

• 3 Years of Outside sales experience
• Some Knowledge of local tree species and industry standards
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Proficiency with digital tools for estimating and customer management

Preferred Qualifications

• ISA Certification as an Arborist (Preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in tree care sales with proven results
• Understanding of tree risk assessment and mitigation
• Connections in property management, construction, or landscaping sectors
• Additional certifications (TRAQ, CTSP)
• Experience in new market development
• History of successful community engagement
