This position is responsible for engaging with prospective students, collecting and analyzing recruitment data, aggressively identifying and tracking students from prospect to enrollee and ultimately achieving or exceeding specific enrollment goals for academic and technical programs in accordance with the process established by the College. The employee develops programs and marketing materials, visits schools and makes presentations to groups and individuals.

SALARY: Based on education and experience commensurate with Salary Schedule (range:$48,578- $97,216). Higher education could earn placement on a higher salary schedule.

The position will be based initially at the Sparks Campus in Eufaula. More than one position in the same job classification may be filled from the applicants for this position should another vacancy occur during the search process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following list was developed through a job analysis; however, it is not exhaustive and other duties may be required and assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Recruitment and Outreach. Develops, Coordinates, and implements recruitment activities for students to attend WCC. Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract prospective students. Represents the college at outreach activities to middle schools, high schools, community events, career fairs, colleges. Speaks to various groups and individual students, and meets with school counselors to promote WCC. Coordinates community workshops and information sessions to build and maintain relationships with K-12 schools, community organizations, and various business and industries within the service area. Serves as an advocate for the College to governmental officials, higher education entities, area high schools, businesses and industries, and the community at large.Provides career and academic counseling, planning, and advising to potential students. Engage with the Public Relations and Marketing department to assist with development of marketing materials. Distributes brochures, posters, flyers, and any other marketing tools; staffs exhibits/displays at college and career fairs, and other special events. Coordinates campus tours for individuals and groups of prospective students and their parents. Coordinates, organizes, and assists with visits of high school students/groups. Serves as a tour guide for individuals and groups visiting the campus. Attends awards and honors day programs at schools to present scholarships and other awards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Data Collection and Analysis. Implements and maintains a positive image of the College to the public to support an effective recruiting program. Obtains information from prospective students and documents source. Collect, analyze, and report recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts. Track and monitor prospective student engagement and conversion rates. Utilize CRM systems and databases to manage recruitment pipelines and student inquiries. Provide regular reports on recruitment trends and student demographics to leadership. Creates and maintains a database of prospective and current students. Codes and enters information into computer. Formulates information to generate letters and correspondence; mails recruitment correspondence to students as needed. Assists in maintaining current enrollment records as they relate to student recruitment. Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from students and external agencies. Maintains current knowledge of businesses and industries in the local area and participates, when applicable, in plant/business closures and layoffs to recruit potential students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: General Operations. Performs other department activities to enhance the recruitment and retention of students at WCC. Formulates and monitors annual recruiting budget. Schedules campus visits/high school presentations and maintains calendar. Generates, mails, and files correspondence concerning all recruitment activities. Orders supplies as needed. Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes calls to appropriate office. Assists other College staff with activities, advertisements, and printed materials related to student recruiting. Assists with orientation, registration, graduation, and other activities in Student Affairs. Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: College Expectations. Dependability, attendance, punctuality, and a commitment to do the job right are essential at all times. Reports to work on time, at appropriate workstation or department during all departmental/position scheduled work days and during all departmental/position scheduled work hours. Adheres to all College and System policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. One year of experience working in a postsecondary setting OR one year of work experience in recruiting, marketing, or public relations is required. Ability to work non-standard hours, including frequent after-hours activities during the week is required. Possess a current and valid driver's license with the ability frequently drive to events and activities and to be insured through the College's insurance provider is required. ADVISORY COMMITTEE: The President will appoint an Advisory and Interview Committee to include representatives of the College faculty and staff. This committee will employ appropriate procedures, including the review of application packets, interview, and demonstration of competency, to determine which applicants are to be recommended to the President for further consideration. From all the applications received, an advisory committee will select the applicants to be interviewed. Applicants must travel at their own expense for interviews that are conducted in person.
