Principal Ultrasound Transducer R&D Specialist

Research and Development of Transducers (using ultrasound) as non-destructive evaluation of silicon and other semiconductor materials and devices.

The company designs advanced Ultrasound Equipment for looking inside microelectronics, semiconductors and composite materials in new ways not possible earlier. The company develops next-generation high-frequency ultrasound imaging systems for non-destructive evaluation.

Job Function:

As Ultrasound Transducer Development (Principal or Senior) specialist, you'll be designing and building specialized ultrasound devices (transducers) which operate at very high frequencies to find tiny defects within advanced materials.

• You'll model and test transducers - specialized ultrasound devices (transducers) for high-precision material defect detection and also working closely with a team of engineers to integrate transducer designs into complete imaging systems.
• Use computer models and analyze the acoustic and electrical performance of transducer materials.
• Work with key performance characteristics of transducers, such as signal strength and image clarity.
• Work with systems engineers to integrate and validate transducers within our advanced imaging systems for inspecting semiconductors and other advanced materials.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to refine designs based on application requirements.

Skills:

• Advanced degree in an engineering or science field with a strong understanding of physics and device operation.
• 5 or more years experience in designing and developing ultrasound transducers or similar acoustic devices (with understanding acoustic technologies - sound waves are generated and used in ultrasound transducer applications).
• Experience in modeling and simulation of Transducer performance.
• Knowledge of materials used in Transducer devices.
• Understanding of high-frequency electrical circuits used with Transducers.
• Experience with optimizing Transducers in ultrasound systems
