Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum & Instruction:

• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate physical education curricula that promote physical fitness, motor skill development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Design and deliver hands-on, inquiry-based STEM lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
• Incorporate various instructional techniques, media, and technology tools (like coding platforms, robotics kits, educational apps) to enhance learning in both PE and STEM.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning levels.
• Connect STEM concepts to real-world problems and applications.
• Foster a growth mindset, encouraging experimentation, collaboration, and perseverance. 

Classroom Management & Student Engagement:

• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom/learning environment.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior.
• Lead students in hands-on, collaborative projects in both PE and STEM.
• Organize and facilitate student participation in STEM-related events like science fairs or coding competitions. 

Assessment & Communication:

• Assess student progress through various methods (formative and summative) to inform instruction and celebrate achievements.
• Evaluate student progress and the ability to meet curriculum standards in PE and STEM.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
• Regularly communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress

If you have the following, we would love to speak with you:

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field (such as a STEM subject) highly preferred.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience at the elementary level is often preferred. Experience with inquiry-based or project-based learning is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and technological skills are essential. Strong communication skills are also crucial for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
