Currently seeking a Personal Assistant/Life Coach to work remotely with an independent, community-minded, and mature disability rights advocate based in Northeast Philly ! He is looking for someone who is a curious and flexible problem solver, who must be willing to share ideas and champion independence. You will help him explore and pursue his community advocacy, as well as develop his professional and educational interests. This job is equal parts personal assistant, life coach, direct support staff, partner in crime, life-navigator, and general guide. The position is currently remote, but is expected to become in person soon.
Typical daily tasks can vary greatly, but some examples would be:
· helping him to prepare statements;
· respond to emails;
· develop his weekly schedule;
· arrange and manage health care appointments;
· drive him to work/advocacy commitments;
· help with budgeting and finance;
· run errands;
· walk through big life decisions; and
· simply spend time together in the home and/or community.
The schedule is flexible/part time, and will be approximately 10 hrs/week. The pay is $24.50/hour, to start, with the opportunity for an increase after six (6) months of successful employment. Exact schedule/hours will be determined based on mutual need and availability. He is very committed to accommodating the needs of his staff and will work to make his schedule work with yours, but does require three to four days notice when a change in schedule is needed, Ideal candidates will be reliable, trustworthy, and consistent.
Mileage for work-related outings is reimbursed.

Qualifications:
· Must be at least 18-years old.
· Strong work ethic
· 2+ years’ experience preferred.
· Clear criminal background checks, which may include the PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint Check
Possession of a reliable automobile and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
