_Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance _is the largest, independently owned orthopedic specialty practice in the Kansas City metro area. We have over 50 medical providers practicing out of six locations. Each team focuses on the importance of customer service, communication, and caring for patients. We offer no weekends, no holidays, and no mandatory on call. Practice schedules are Monday through Friday.
We are seeking a hands-on Patient Care Technician Supervisor who is looking for work life balance and a dynamic working environment. Our practices offer a busy, challenging, and exciting work environment
*Essential Responsibilities*
* Oversees a team of specialists managing all active patient care.
* Directs and supervises PCTs in several locations. (Travel between locations on a daily basis may be required).
* Performs the PCT duties one day a week and rotates to other clinics as needed.
* Performs manager responsibilities including participating in hiring, performance reviews, training, counseling and performance improvement, approval of PTO/sick leave, scheduling changes, decision-making regarding work requirements and physical location.
* Participates and directs at least monthly staff meetings with the team covering updates, concerns and workflow changes.
* Work with direct supervisor on developing new procedures to improve office effectiveness and efficiency.
* Performs an operations review on at least a yearly basis of the current processes for managing the clinical aspect of each treatment team, including but not limited to: operational protocols, communication, technology enhancements, staffing needs and training needs.
* Coordinate scheduling of Student, PA’s, ARNP’s, PT, and other shadowing opportunities and Coordination of Preceptorships with outside educational institutions.
* Responsible for inter-department communication and brings any necessary issues to the attention of their supervisor.
* Operates within the context of an established departmental budget. Makes recommendations for annual budget and maximizes opportunities to meet and exceed budget guidelines.
*Skill and Requirements*
* Customer service skills involving active listening, proper phone etiquette, ensuring time sensitivity is recognized by customers is required.
* Time management and the ability to be organized and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
* Possessing and fostering a Teamwork disposition highly regarded at all times.
* Previous experience in managing people/teams/schedules is preferred.
* Familiarity in a clinic environment is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Certification as a Patient Care Technician or equivalent training is desirable.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
