Patient Attendant Float

Serving patients since 1980, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks features 143 licensed beds, a Level II trauma center, and a therapeutic day school and transition program. Our key service lines are orthopedics, pain management, oncology, surgery and our Birth Center. UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Glen Oaks is the only disproportionate-share hospital in DuPage County. The role youll contribute:

Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)

The value youll bring to the team:

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Removes visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
• Records all observations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
