Overview

Valet Attendant – Southern Valet

Location: Kiawah / Johns Island, SC

Wage: $13/hour base pay ( Plus cash tips daily (Valets typically make ~$25–$30/hour* total with tips, based on performance))

Schedule: Flexible scheduling – great for part-time or full-time seekers

Job Type : FT/PT available

Southern Valet is currently hiring reliable, energetic, and service-oriented individuals to join our hotel valet team in Kiawah / Johns Island, SC. We have immediate openings for both AM/PM and weekend shifts with flexible scheduling options.

Job Summary:

As a Valet Attendant, you’ll be the first and last point of contact for our guests. Your role is to safely and efficiently park and retrieve vehicles , while delivering exceptional customer service that enhances the guest experience. You’ll work closely with a supportive team and management to maintain high standards of service, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival
• Open vehicle doors and assist with luggage
• Park and retrieve vehicles promptly and safely
• Take luggage to guest rooms
• Provide outstanding customer service at all times
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
• Report any accidents or incidents immediately
• Follow company safety and service procedures

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds up stairs / Jog to cars
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to drive manual transmission preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team
• Clean driving record (a 5-year driving summary may be requested for insurance purposes)

What we're looking for:*

• Always cheerfully greet guests and sincerely thank them upon exit.
• Park and retrieving guest vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
• Explain the parking rates and provide instructions for guests to retrieve their self-park vehicles.
• Help the business by inspecting each vehicle before taking possession and following company guidelines.
• Impress us all by maintaining the company uniform appearance, cheerfully greeting and thanking guests, resolving issues, and by being an all-around pleasure to be with.
• Be outside and active most of your day, standing walking, and sometimes helping with items weighing up to 50lbs.
• And you may be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks or other special projects.

Must haves:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have a valid driver's license and have been driving for at least 2 years.
• Energetic, outgoing and can stand, run, and carry items, up to 50lbs, if needed.
• Great communicator in both written and spoken language, with a friendly, professional approach to everyone you meet.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can help resolve customer issues in a positive and helpful way.

Good to haves:

• Valet parking: 1 year+
• Customer service: 1 year+
