CIAT Location: San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NM Reports to: Associate Dean - Cloud Administration Program Summary: CIAT is seeking educators and professionals with a passion for mentoring others. We prepare students for professional success by offering practical training in today’s technology fields to make sure students are job-ready. We offer a large selection of courses, flexible schedules, and an online campus, with a focus on student success for a diverse student population. Teaching: Available to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs Use appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter in a synchronous online format (Microsoft Teams) Current certifications in subjects taught Mastery of Subject Matter: Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field Connect subject matter with related fields Stay current through professional development, professional organizations, and conferences/workshops Adhering to College Policies and Procedures: Maintain accurate student grade records Ensure compliance with accreditation and CIAT policies and procedures Promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects Adhere to CIAT business casual attire; refer to the CIAT Employee Handbook for policy details Qualifications and Requirements: Instructors in Information Technology must provide official transcripts of bachelor’s degree (or higher) and active certification in the subject General Education Instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor’s and master’s degrees (or higher) with at least 18 units in the subject At least three years’ experience in the field OR two years of teaching experience Advanced subject matter expertise in Oracle Cloud preferred Synchronous online teaching preferred Flexible, creative, and dependable Proficient with MS Office and learning tools (including Teams and Canvas) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning and professional integrity Position Type and Hours: This is a variable-hour position. Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday; weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice a week (Monday and Tuesday) from 6:00pm–9:30pm Pacific Time.
