Transports patients (internally and externally), equipment, supplies and other items to and from all hospital departments. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (Required), 1 year experience in medical transport (internal or external), and preferred experience in hospital, healthcare, or customer service settings. Must be BLS Certified by American Heart Association within 3 months of hire and possess a valid Georgia Driver's License meeting insurability requirements. Essential functions include safe driving standards, customer service, and lifting dynamics. Additional duties include adherence to attendance and punctuality guidelines, alignment with organizational core values, completion of job functions per departmental policies, ongoing education, attendance at staff meetings and mandatory in-services, competency in patient care across demographics, usage of age-specific customer service skills, and wearing protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
