Summary / Purpose

Reliance One is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support for the continuous improvement of plant operations and assist with the execution of new and modified manufacturing programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring production efficiency, quality improvements, and technical problem-solving.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

  • As a Manufacturing Engineer , design and execute trials aimed at reducing scrap, cycle time, Gentani, and short stops to support cost-reduction initiatives
  • Support Maintenance and Manufacturing teams during equipment breakdowns, startups, and set-ups to ensure minimal disruption to production
  • Recommend and assist in the development of effective setup and maintenance procedures as part of the Manufacturing Engineer’s responsibilities
  • Investigate the “why make” side of non-conforming product flow-out issues and develop corrective actions
  • Participate in new program manufacturing planning reviews, contributing technical insight as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Plan and execute process development trials to meet initial process capability targets
  • Support ongoing manufacturing improvement initiatives and Kaizen events as a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer
  • Work overtime during weekdays or weekends as directed to complete essential job duties
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned in alignment with departmental goals and engineering support functions

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • As a Manufacturing Engineer , proficiency in CNC controls, tooling geometry, machine tool processes, and fixture design is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with automated, semi-automated, and manual automotive assembly systems, including cell design
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits and control systems
  • Excellent organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressure
  • Working knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems
  • PLC and robot programming experience is a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in metal removal and/or close tolerance assembly manufacturing
