Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a school setting in Savannah, TN. The role involves working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, providing tailored instruction and support to meet diverse learning needs. The contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teaching License valid in the state of Tennessee
  • Experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education best practices and legal requirements

Position Details:

  • Location: Savannah, TN
  • Contract role from immediate start through end of school year
