Overview

Director, Continuous Improvement (Danaher Business System) Onsite at our headquarters in San Jose, California. Part of Danaher Life Sciences (Molecular Devices). The role drives DBS (Danaher Business System) activities, supporting Finance and Commercial Service executives, and leads operational performance improvements using DBS tools, analytics, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation (QDCI) by leveraging DBS tools, leading PD (Policy Deployment) and Daily Management reviews.
• Assist site, company, and functional leadership in developing a DBS Roadmap to drive sustainable improvement in results.
• Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching; facilitate DBS training sessions with other trainers and Danaher consultants when appropriate.
• Lead, facilitate, coordinate, and manage annual Kaizen events at the plant.
• Identify workflow impediments and wastes, provide expert DBS tool guidance to eliminate them, and promote continuous process improvement across the business.
• Promote associate development in DBS tools and kaizen leadership.
• Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations.

Qualifications

• Results-oriented with the ability to deliver measurable improvements.
• Independent worker capable of operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment and handling difficult situations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and leading continuous improvement efforts across multiple functions.
• Bachelors degree in engineering or business with 10+ years of experience, or Masters degree with 8-10 years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and customer-focused orientation.
• Certified in DBS tools (fundamentals) or other CI methodologies such as Six Sigma; extensive experience driving cross-functional improvements using DBS or similar tools.
• Experience coaching and training leaders and associates to enable sustained DBS results.

Nice-to-have / Additional Experience

• Understanding of finance and/or service aspects of the business.
• Strategic thinking and ability to view the business from a general management perspective.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $155,000 $190,000. This range is disclosed in good faith as the range of possible compensation at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The role may be eligible for bonus/incentive pay. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
