Role: Desktop Support Technician

Location: 4400 Masthead Street NE, Suite 300 Albuquerque, NM

duration: 12+Months

client: Retail

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality IT support to internal employees, including handling incidents and requests (IMAC).
• Set up and configure new machines for employees and deploy hardware as needed.
• Replace outdated workstations and manage hardware deliveries in coordination with the Build Center.
• Install, configure, and repair hardware and software.
• Keep detailed records of support tickets and ensure timely updates to users.
• Write and update knowledge base documentation.
• Maintain strong communication with employees and support teams to ensure a smooth support experience.
• Build effective relationships with other teams, departments, and external vendors.
• Focus on helping people, not just fixing technology.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in 2nd-level IT support in a corporate environment.
• Strong customer service mindset with a focus on customer success.
• Solid understanding of service desk operations and support tools.
• Able to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and handle changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills – both technical and non-technical.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Windows 10, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, and mobile device management (MDM).
• Experience with tools like ServiceNow, SCCM, JamF, Zoom, MS Teams, Slack, and remote support tools (e.g., Nexthink).
• Familiarity with automation and scripting is a plus.
