The Criminal Investigator role involves critical protective and investigative assignments, carried out with honor, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Dual Compensation Off-Set Waiver for Criminal Investigators (Special Agents) Rehires: This announcement recruits CSRS and FERS annuitants on a limited basis with a waiver of salary offset (if requested) under specific circumstances, valid until 12/31/2028. Annuitants reemployed with a salary offset waiver are eligible for: Full annuity and full Federal salary Annual and sick leave (excluding intermittent work schedules) Full-time, part-time, or intermittent work schedules Overtime pay (full schedule), with hours counting toward maximum hour limitations Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP) and an additional 25% of base salary added to locality pay Non-status, term appointments in the competitive service, not exceeding 4 years or until 1 day before their 60th birthday, whichever comes first Note: Appointments beyond December 31, 2028, may be subject to salary offset if the waiver is not renewed. Annuitants reemployed with a salary offset waiver are NOT eligible for: Additional retirement coverage beyond Social Security TSP Contributions Reemployed annuitants may only accept one appointment per job series.
