Our company is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Permanent Construction Superintendent for Ski Resorts. This role requires a unique blend of construction expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the unique demands and challenges associated with building and maintaining world-class ski resorts. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that our ski resorts are built to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Directly overseeing all construction activities related to ski resort projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
2. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to ensure that all designs and plans are implemented accurately and efficiently.
3. Ensuring all construction projects comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
4. Managing a team of construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance, training, and feedback as necessary.
5. Regularly inspecting construction sites to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
6. Resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process, implementing solutions that minimize disruptions and keep the project on track.
7. Liaising with stakeholders, including resort owners, local authorities, and community representatives, to ensure that all projects meet their needs and expectations.
8. Preparing and presenting regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any challenges and outlining strategies for overcoming them.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role, with specific experience in ski resort or similar mountain/winter resort construction projects.
2. Proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment, with a particular focus on those relevant to ski resort construction.
4. Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards related to ski resort construction.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of construction professionals.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for resolving issues quickly and effectively.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
8. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certification as a Construction Superintendent or similar qualification is a plus.
10. Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions, including cold and snowy winter weather.
