The College of Nursing (CON) seeks a College Recruiter who serves the College's nursing programs in identifying, recruiting, and enrolling highly qualified candidates from local, regional and national schools. As a key student-facing position, reporting to the Director of Student Services, this position will be dedicated to engaging prospective students. Providing comprehensive support throughout the recruitment and admissions process, ensuring a seamless journey for candidates interested in the College of Nursing programs
Responsibilities
College Recruitment and Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective nursing students, providing information about programs, admissions requirements, deadlines, and application procedures.
- Develop and manage participation for, and at times travel to, in-state and out-of-state recruitment events for the college.
- Manage Student Ambassador participation in campus tours and at undergraduate recruitment events.
- Create and conduct specialized and personalized on-campus and virtual experiences for prospective students and their families.
Recruitment Strategy, Planning, and Evaluation
- Develop strategic recruitment plans that include efficient travel and maximum exposure to potential undergraduate candidates,
- Determine the needs and oversee the creation of compelling message content for prospective student marketing materials, presentations, and electronic communications.
- Ensure all content effectively informs, engages, and resonates with prospective students and their families, fostering a strong connection to the college and its offerings.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience in recruitment, admissions, or related field.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status.
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in postsecondary student recruitment or outreach, preferably in health sciences or nursing.
Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint or equivalents and ability to learn new software.
Experience in planning, developing, and executing recruitment programs and events.
Work Location: Knoxville, TN - onsite - hybrid available after satisfactory probation period satisfied and at the discretion of the Dean.
Compensation and Benefits: UT market range: MR08
Anticipated hiring range: $49,000 -$55,000
