Job Description

As a Beer Hall Bartender, your primary responsibility is to ensure the bar is well-stocked and to serve our award-winning beer in line with CBC standards. You'll be reporting to the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and while you won't have direct reports, your role is integral to the smooth operation of our Front of House (FOH) team. Your key duties and expectations encompass:

Bartending:

  • Serve our beer with a positive attitude while pouring with precision.
  • Ensure each beer is presented with high quality and attention to detail, including proper glassware and garnishes where applicable.
  • Complete all opening and closing checklists, prep tasks, and ensure bar equipment is in proper working order.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards at your station, including glassware, utensils, and bar surfaces.
  • Craft drinks meticulously, ensuring accuracy and promptly rectifying any errors.
  • Pay close attention to the presentation of each beverage, maintaining our commitment to quality.
  • Willingly assist other team members, including expediters and dishwashers, as needed.
  • Ensure the freshness of ingredients and adhere to the FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation method.
  • Communicate any inventory or equipment needs promptly to management and fellow team members.
  • Immediately escalate any guest concerns, regardless of severity, to a Supervisor, Shift Lead, or Assistant Manager.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift weights of up to 50lbs daily and move objects weighing up to 150lbs daily.
  • Stand for a minimum of eight hours during shifts.
  • Perform bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching, and continuous movement for extended periods behind the bar.
  • Adapt to varying temperature conditions typical of a bar environment.
