About You: You’re an enthusiastic and dynamic coach with a rich background in acting and a talent for teaching. Your professional acting experience, combined with your teaching skills, makes you the ideal candidate to guide our students on their journey in the performing arts. Your energy and passion for working with children are infectious, and you’re dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive learning experience. Key Responsibilities: Teach acting/improv classes to diverse age groups, adhering to the provided curriculum. Lead engaging acting exercises, improvisation activities, and scene work, enhancing students’ performance skills. Offer constructive feedback and guidance, focusing on acting techniques, character development, and stage presence. Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in acting, incorporating them into your teaching practices. Maintain a safe, organized classroom/studio environment, ensuring a professional atmosphere. Uphold the theater’s standards and values, including appropriate attire and positive language. Act as a positive role model and ambassador, supporting all students in the theater. Communicate openly with the theater’s management, providing feedback and seeking support when needed. Qualifications: Proven experience as an actor, acting coach, teacher, or in a similar role in a performing arts setting. Exceptional patience, reliability, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with children. Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a dynamic and busy camp schedule. An energetic and positive personality, capable of engaging with students and staff in a vibrant and inspiring manner. First aid and CPR certification is highly valued.
